The five successful candidates were:-

(1) Fung Ping, Wa

who received for (1) Comp. 80, (ii) Historical Essay 65, (iii) Chinese History 50, (iv) Classic of History 58, (v) Great Learning 85, (vi) Essay on four books 80.

These give a total of 418 or an average of nearly 70. His marks for translation were 62.

His final total 64.

(2) Fung Yuk Lam - who received for (i) 80, (ii) 58, (iii) 55,.

(iv) 70, (v) 66, (vi) 58.

The se give a total of 389, or an average of 65.

His marks for translation were 55.

His final total 60.

(3) Wong Yam Kwan who received for (i) 80, (ii) 50, (iii) 60,

(iv) 55, (v) 54, (vi) 52.

These give a total of 351, or an average of 58.

His marks for translation were 45.

His final total 52.

(4) Li Yau Shing - who received for (i) 58, (ii) 60, (iii) 78,

(iv) 75, (v) 80, (vi) 80.

These give 8 total of 431, or an average of 72.

His marks for translation were 26..

His final total 50.

(5) Fung Ping Fan who received for (i) 62, (ii) 60, (iii) 45,

(iv) 70, (v) 56, (vi) 65.

Chinese.

These give a total of 358, or an average of 60. His marks for translation were 36.

His final total 48.

The se I consider equal to our University course in

Li Yau Shing was weak in translation 26-marks, but

his marks for Chinese were highest of all reckoned at 72 by our

method.
